Been a minute since I contributed to the Bloglin so I thought it was time to contribute with what I did this weekend. I just returned from Texas with Buff Monster, and we got a chance to paint with Austrian street artist Nychos at the Art Slam 7th year anniversary in San Antonio. Last year I painted with Alex Pardee and Skinner at Art Slam 6 where we did this giant Inhuman Centipede. This year was even bigger and better than last year in a lot of ways. Japanther was the musical headliners but I didn’t really get to see any of it as I was too busy painting this giant wall with Buff Monster and Nychos. We completed the whole mural in under 6 hours rocking out to Iron Maiden which definitely helped in the process. Our friend Rob Perez organizes the Art Slam events and is one of the biggest proponents of bringing art and music to San Antonio. Big thanks to the love and support we experienced this weekend. It was a humbling experience getting such a reception from the awesome folks in San Antonio. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend an Art Slam event if you have the chance.
