File this under two great tastes, that unexpectedly taste great together. Producers of ethereal, falsetto-ed, emotional fuck anthems Magic Fades have teamed up with Houston rapper Siddiq for “Let’s Do It ’97″; which is the closest we’ll collectively ever get to a Enya X Bun B collabo.

Siddiq supplies the heavy Houston flows, with plenty of clever (but not Ye level, screaming for atention “look at me, I’m clever”) lines. Magic Fades drops a track that works perfectly within their Pure Moods compilation disc meets SWV oeuvre. These two things shouldn’t work this well together, but the result is pretty hardbody. Parts of this sound like a dude rapping over the soundtrack to Japanesse RPG, but honestly, that’s entirely cool with me.
