Girls Re-Up: Video Games

I find it bizarre that the last thing I wrote about was being the square one in a car with an intoxicated driver. I know it wasn’t the focal point of this weeks Girls episode, but I laughed when Hannah was the only one freaking out and not doing whippets. Sigh, yet another thing we have in common. That and an awkward cemetery sexual encounter, but I’ll let that one go for now.

After weeks of me complaining, we finally get a Jessa episode! Meeting Jessa’s father gives a lot of insight on why she is how she is. I suppose in this regard Jessa and I have a bit more in common than I had initially thought. But really, how many girls do you know that don’t have daddy issues? I dare you to name 5. That’s what I thought. I love that Desperately Seeking Rosanna is Jessa’s father’s girlfriend. I kinda felt like she was playing herself in that role. I can’t put my finger on where I know Jessa’s pops from, but I’ll just IMDb that later.

Hannah was basically only in this episode to be the “cushion” and in the end, goes home alone with an even worse urinary tract infection. So does this mean that Jessa stayed to try and work things out with her dad? Or…? Did she end up bailing early? I think the baby weight was weighing a little too heavily on the show. With only three episodes left in the season, I’m curious to see if Jessa makes another appearance. Perhaps it will just be from the tits up. Who knows? Speaking of tits, I think this may have been the first episode where we don’t see Lena Dunham’s rack. Until next week people.
