Some of you may know Jonny Negron from his work in the comics world, maybe you picked up his first book Negron when it dropped this fall. Possibly, you fancy yourself a collector of low meets high brow art and have purchased one of his prints of scantily clad women. If you’re not up on Negron’s work, just know this, he once contributed a comic called “Granddaddy Purple, Erotic Gameshow” to a ‘zine called Thickness—which features erotic tales of women that Sisqo would label as having “dumps like a truck”. Weed references, illustrated adventures of broads like Blac Chyna.  Move over Basquiat, Jonny Negron is your favorite rapper’s new favorite artist—that he’s never heard of.

We’ll be having a show on March 8th at 350 Broadway showing Negron’s latest works, along with a limited edition shirt featuring his artwork. This is the perfect opportunity for you to appreciate art and satiate your most base desires. No watching the “story” part of a p-no, does not count as appreciating erotic art. That’s what we in the literary world call “world building”. Lonely dudes call it foreplay. Put that MFA to use while talking about the “anime influenced perspectives”, “embracing of sexuality reminiscent of R. Crumb”, and “seductive lighting on the asses”. Show that you were paying attention that time you spent a summer with your cousins down in Georgia and remark that the girls in Negron’s illustrations are “thicker than a cold plate of grits”.
