Just in time for the NBA playoffs, Waka Flocka Flame returns with the third entry in his DuFlockaRant series, of Kevin Durant inspired mixtapes. DuflockaRant: Halftime Show is 19 tracks of Waka, unexpectedly experimenting with his sound, venturing into new areas for a dude mostly known for “them gun sounds”. There’s tracks of Waka going in over classic boom bap and soul sample production, some Future-esque melodic songs for the ladies, and of course, songs where Flocka screams a lot and makes felony threats of violence. Appearances made by Young Thug, Young Scooter, Wooh Da Kid, and T.I. to round out the tape. Obviously no Gucci Mane. R.I.P Bricksquad R.I.P Russell Westbrook’s knee. The best duos always break up.
Now that there are three tapes in each series, I can begin my three thousand word essay exploring the differences between DuflockaRant, Lebron Flocka James, Kevin Durant, and Lebron James. I’m pretty sure this is my entry point to a recurring guest spot on ESPN’s Around The Horn.
