New York City let loose the Sicariidae of its underground industrial scene; Blush Response for his one-off LA show tomorrow night. Dirk Ivens’ (The Klinik/ Absolute Body Control / Sonar) solo project Dive performs LA’s Das Bunker/Complex Saturday May 11. Blush Response will open for Ivans alongside local electro punk duo High Functioning Flesh as part of his 2013 US tour.
Early March saw the digital release of Blush Response: Tension Strategies on prolific underground label Tundra Dubs. This label is responsible for facilitating a number of powerful underground debuts. Bands like ∆AIMON and Men In Burka cut their teeth.
Tension Strategies being Blush’s second album , is high powered and fully in control. The production is good. Anyone who appreciates Pretty Little Hate Machine will love this. The song writing is intelligent. The beat and synth applications are fierce.
While you outright go hard dancing to it or procreating to it or doing whatever it is you do when you are fully feeling it (and you will feel it) -you’ll also get pivotal lessons in how to never be fucked with. Who doesn’t want that? Everyone wants that. This album is very good and furthermore, good for you.
After a spambot infiltration (thanks to one of facebook’s many dysfunctionalities ) Blush Response has had to start from scratch with a new fan page. It must have been tough to lose so many thousands of social networking followers, so if you were one of them go ahead and like the new page here.
