Sister Crayon are on some deep electronic lush waves, sprinting through the midnight forest without a flashlight, running to the harmonies echoing in the distance.
Portishead becomes an obvious influence. A dash of Bjork, a sprinkle of Bat for Lashes. But Sister Crayon are their own entity. They seem to be climbing up the dreamy depths of music genres, opening for wild acts like Omar Rodriguez-Lopez’s Bosnian Rainbows and now Blue Sky Black Death. Experimental shoegaze tied into the heavens of art rock.
