Generally when a new Lady Gaga video pops up it’s notable because she’s one of the few music acts still making day glow videos that straddle the line between high fashion fantasy and the fever dreams of disco era ABBA. This teaser for her new video “Cake” directed by Terry Richardson is notable because it both features Lady Gaga rapping and breaking off a high profile struggle twerk. Thank you Obama Based God, you give us with so much.

We can possibly blame her elementary school cypher flow on her chilling with Kendrick Lamar. Maybe he helped her with that “thirty hundred million” line in exchange for doing a song with him. The drunk college freshman at her first frat party twerk though? That’s unexplainable by science or religion. Maybe she fell into a Youtube hole and found some twerk team videos. Inspiration. Or, maybe she’s continuing to model her career after Madonna’s and twerking is going to be her voguing. That’s a movement we can all get behind.

Last Friday night we had a killer party at our Los Angeles store that was Boner Shorts to the max, celebrating the release of the sexy and swaggerific Мишка 2013 Calendar by Ellen Stagg. In case you forgot, after taking a year off the calendar returned better than ever. Not only does it feature Ellen’s super sultry shots of a dozen gorgeous models, but also illustrations by 12 of our favorite artists to complement the pics (not to mention cartoons by the one and only Johnny Ryan!).

If there was one product that needed a release party it was this one, and the brand new LA store was more than happy to play host. To really make it a night, we invited along the lovely Ms. Stagg as well as several of the models in the Calendar, like Masuimi Max, Jelena Jensen, Shay Laren, and more + some artists too. If you follow our tumblr you’ll notice that we often reblog images from Lauren Lepore AKA Trillary Duff, a talented young New York photographer who’s images of beautiful ladies decked out in Mishka gear impressed us so much she’s recently been doing some work in the office with us. Since everyone (ourselves included) is so excited about all our new socks, Lauren decided to do a photoshoot highlighting them.

Last week we brightened up this dark dark world with the release of our 2013 Calendar, a return to erotic form after a year off. Featuring models shot by Ellen Stagg and illustrations by a dozen cool artists, it just might be our best calendar yet. If there’s a product release that demanded a party it’s this one, and in an exciting turn of events we’ll be holding it at our new Los Angeles location, 128 South La Brea. It will be the first major event in that store since the opening bash, and we can’t wait to break it in with help from guests like Ms. Stagg and several of the artists and models from the calendar, like Joe King, April Flores, Melina Manson, Lauren WK and more.

Who knows, you might even get a girl to autograph a naked picture of herself. Wouldn’t that be nice. The party is tomorrow night (Friday November 2nd), from 7-10PM, so be sure to mark your calendar while thinking about how much better that calendar will be come January.
