Look Into The Mind of Secret Warrior Lamour Supreme

Friday, March 16th, 2012

Our very own Lamour Supreme was interviewed recently in our 350 Broadway location by Chevrolet & Monorex for his involvement in the Secret Walls project, a street art thunderdome of sorts that we’ve written about on the Bloglin before (when it was still called Secret Wars). They’ve got quite a Secret Walls tourney going on at SXSW, and Lamour is competing.

I know Lamour is fierce in battle, and as of Wednesday had already won one competition, so let’s all wish him luck forn the rest of the weekend. If you want to see what drives him, then check out the interview above to hear about the magic of childhood and all kinds of good stuff like that. Go Lamour!

Alexander Heir’s New Work at 350 Broadway, April 6th

Thursday, March 15th, 2012

After the success of our past two art shows – Mishka art director Mike JonesNo Time For Love and the Royce Bannon curated group show While You Were Sleeping – we’re very excited to be working with Brooklyn artist and clothing designer Alexander Heir to display his new work, starting April 6th, in 350 Broadway.

Besides being the founder and one-man production machine behind label Death/Traitors (who we’ve been selling in our stores since 2011), and one half of Burn Books (an independent publishing company focused on promoting local artists), Heir is also an accomplished print maker. His work is defined by dark imagery that draws as much influence from religious and occult imagery as it does punk rock.

A constant original, Heir works in mediums as varied as clothing, concert posters, skate decks, jewelry, prints, and more. His new print work is primed to make the walls of 350 Broadway even more mystical than they already are. As mentioned, the show will be opening on Friday April 6th and will be accompanied by a party from 7-10PM. Hope to see you all there!

350 Broadway Is Turning 3 Today, Here, Have 30% Off!

Monday, March 12th, 2012

350 Broadway is our own little special home and we love it very much. It’s weird to think that only three short years ago, that beautiful bastard was just opening up for the very first time, selling its first clothes, playing its first Street Fighter game, collecting its first toys, hosting its first ritual… seems like just yesterday. Now it’s all growed up (store years are kind of like dog years) and you know we wouldn’t let a day like that pass without at least a little fanfare.

So hop on that good ol’ JMZ line, ride over to the Marcy stop, and look out for the glowing purple windows, because we’re having a totally righteous 30% off sale. That means all the brand new Spring stuff you want so bad? Yeah, 30% off. But it’s one day and one day only, so don’t dilly dally. Also don’t judge me for saying dilly dally. It may be 350 Broadway’s birthday, but it’s you all who are getting the gifts. See you there!

An Incredible Thing Happened In Front of 350 Broadway

Friday, March 9th, 2012

Oh wow this is amazing. I mean, I knew the K-Pop takeover was happening soon enough, but I didn’t know it was going to happen 20 feet from the Mishka store. I’ve been watching the internet pop off all day about this new song “Bad Boy” by mega-huge Korean boy band BIGBANG, and I decided to give it a watch. Imagine my squee of delight when then first shot in the video pans across the intersection of Broadway and Keap street in Williamsburg. Why, I know that cross street….

And then BAM! The purple neon lights we know so well slide into view and suddenly I’m watching our store (not to mention a whole lot of Trophy Bar) in a video that currently has 6 million views and very rapidly rising. The internet is a fun place. In other news, holy crap, what a ridiculously catchy song. Is it wrong that I can’t stop listening to this? And sort of want their outfits? And sort of want to be in the band? BIGBANG, if you’re reading this, this is my official application. I promise I’ll learn the dance moves. Don’t judge me!

Store Spotting: Put Your Hands Up For Dub Police!

Friday, March 2nd, 2012

Oh shit, this place just got massive, ya heard?? 350 Broadway almost got wobble-wobbled to the ground last week when our friends Subscape and D1 from Dub Police stopped by to say whatup and get an up close look at the Spring 12 collection. Though we stuck to rap on this one, you’ll remember Subscape was in our Fall 2011 lookbook, and also did a fully fucking flexed Keep Watch (Vol. XXXII) mix for us.

They were coming through town on the inaugural Dub Police tour, with Caspa, Trolley Snatcha, and more. And Hey! We have a brand new Dub Police T-Shirt available in our on-line store right this second. How convenient, eh?

While You Were Sleeping, Available Now!

Friday, March 2nd, 2012

350 Broadway: retail center, performance space, occult hotzone, nightlife provider and, yes, fine art gallery. Group show While You Were Sleeping is currently up on the walls in our wonderful store, and it features the work of 13 artists. Many of you have already seen some of the pieces, whether you came to the opening last week or saw them in photos on our recap (courtesy of Fresh Paint NYC).

Well now all of those pieces are available for purchase in our online store. Royce Bannon picked some great artists to be in this thing, and they really came through with top notch work. Whether it be Reymi Gil‘s skeletal “Keep Your Head“, Matt Siren‘s “Ghost Girl“, Lamour’sFondle My Balls“, Abe Lincoln Jr‘s “Fucking Hipsters” or more, all these pieces would look just right on your wall. Git r done!

While You Were Sleeping, We Were Partying!

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

Another art opening, another smashing success, if I do say so myself. Last Friday night we celebrated the beginning of a totally kewl 13 artist group show at our 350 Broadway Store, entitled While You Were Sleeping. The show was curated by friend and co-worker Royce Bannon, and featured a whole bunch of awesome artists. From other Mishka employees Domenick Trimboli, Reymi Gil, Mike Jones, and Lamour Supreme, to street art staples Matt Siren and Abe Lincoln Jr.

Our lil’ store was packed to the brim with friends, fans, and fam, (not to mention recent TV star The Sucklord) and luckily Fresh Paint NYC was there to photograph the event and even grab some video too. Check out more images here, and be sure to stop by 350 Broadway and (soon) our online store if you want to add to your art collection.

Destroy M Snapback ($32.00 $16.00)

Prepare for the Destroy M Snapback. This hat makes it look like you enjoy watching team sports, even though you would rather be smoking a bowl and watching Family Guy like back in 02′ (That’s mad ancient). Bring back that feeling of classic, bold styling. Run your digits across the M, feel the texture? Next, prepare a sacrifice for Saint Clement of Ohrid. Excellent. Available in Black, and Blue. Featuring a big capital chenille M on the front, and “destroy” embroidered on the back, you are sure to stay true. Each colorway will really bring out your eyes. “Looks sharp” says your Uncle Paul.  You could even pair this hat with one of our warm versatile collared shirts. That would be dope too.

Personally, the Destroy M Snapback is one of my favorites from the Holiday Collection. This hat clearly states which side you play for, simply because of how official it is. I like the clean, professional look of this particular hat. We got that big ol’ M baybee! You can blend in with this hat, or you can bug out. This is the kinda shit we strive for at Mishka. Giving you options.

Мишка Winter Sale: Now 50% Off Online & In-Store!

Monday, January 30th, 2012

The Мишка Winter Sale: 50% Off Online & In-Store!

As the gif shifts, so do the savings. Can they possible go any lower than 40%?? Well, have you ever seen us limbo? We can go low homies. Real, real, low. Pause. If anything has been holding you back up to this point, certainly the HALF-OFF savings should clear that right up. We’re practically giving this stuff away! “Is it infested with snakes and curses?” you may ask. No… of course not. That would be ridiculous.

In both of our stores and online, items from Fall and Holiday are all available for you 50% off. I learned the repetition thing from used car salesmen. 50%. Savings. It’s finally a little chilly, so snag a jacket for just over $130. Damn: savings! T-Shirts? $16? I’ve spent more at McDonalds. These savings are literally insane! What are you waiting for?

No exchanges or returns on marked down items unless you are shipped a defective item. Sorry!
