Math Head & The Captain are in Trouble & Bass. Math Head & The Captain are BFF… Bass Friends Forever. We at Mishka like to think of all of T&B as our Bass Friends Forever and so we got down on this mix! It’s like a T&B party captured on CD or in this case on our Doombox! Listening to it at work may cause uncontrolable dancing, so listen at your own risk!
The Captain – BFF Pt. 1
Math Head – BFF Pt. 2
Trouble & Bass are also getting down for their monthly party at Love tomorrow night, Feb 29th with special guest Tayo straight from London. Listen to the mix and head over to Love tomorrow night. You won’t be sorry!

Nat from A Silent Flute has put together our new Doombox mix. When asked for the scoop on his mix, he had this to say over the phone-
” Yeah, this was just a bit that I knocked up the other night. It’s kind of an ode to the Empire State building and all the other fine office buildings in Manhattan. To all the coked up working stiffs needing some jams to take them through the day and into the next morning. And then that icky sunrise after you’ve been cruising bars all night. Bright Lights, Big City, all that. So that’s the deal, can I go now?”
There is a new doombox up on our site that should please all of you that enjoy a little heavy rocking and power riffs alongside trippy jams and prog. I didn’t really stick to much of a format, if that wasn’t obvious, but there’s a consistent vibe throughout the mix for anyone that enjoys a little heavier shit. If blazing some doobage is your thing, then toke up ’cause you’re about to be dragged through raw sewage, lifted to cosmic mountaintops and finally lowered back to reality.
As I pack for Sweden and look longingly to slumber land I also can’t skirt my duties of getting a new DoomBox up for all of you!
Hot on the heels of My Bloody Valentine deciding to go on tour and release a new (but really album) I decided to go all Shoegaze, Dream Pop, call it what you will on this new DoomBox mix. Two hours of fuzzy walls of guitar, distorted dreamlike vocals & cascading melodies. Think of this mix as an aural winter sweater.
Last Halloween I made a Goth & Industrial mix for the Doombox that to my surprise was our most emailed about and popular mixes. This Halloween we got an amazing mix from Curtis Vodka which we’ve had up for the past 2 weeks, so I decided to save this mix for right after Halloween.
Pumpkins are rotting, there is a frost in the air and the nights are getting longer… a perfect time for a mix such as this. Unlike last year’s mix where I went heavy on the Industrial, I kept this mix mostly Darkwave, Goth and some light EBM. Those of you into this, I hope you enjoy!
A longtime fan of Mishka, Curtis Vodka has been making a name for himself in the DJ world for quite sometime. Hailing from Alaska, he’s developed a unique production sound that has taken him around the world on tours. This latest Doombox installation is a Hell of dope mix full of twists and turns that’ll constantly leave you guessing what you’ll hear next. Check it out and keep an ear open for much more music to come from Curtis in the future.
