Look Into The Eye Of Madness With Bonethrower At 350 Broadwa ...

This Friday January 25th we’ll be having the first art show of 2013 at 350 Broadway. We figured we’d start the year off right with some classical nude portraiture of rubenesque women in repose. Heavy Renaissance vibes. Get 350 known as the Louvre in Brooklyn. Really class up the establishment, you know frame the Street Fighter 2 cabinet in the right light. However, upon further review, we realized: a. we don’t know any painters who work classical nude portraits, and b. trying to find models that would let us paint their portraits would just be a really creepy tour through Craigslist’s “Adult Services” section.

To get the new year kicked off right, but on an entirely different wave we got David M. Cook aka Bonethrower to come through with a show of new work. Cook is a colorblind artist that uses a combination of religious imagery, patterns, monsters, and animals to create pieces that straddle the border between psychedelic and visionary. Along with the artwork on display, we’ll also be debuting a limited edition Мишка X Bonethrower shirt featuring one of his monstrous skulls. Come down and join us for a night of arts and likely, more than a few discussions of “bad trips”.
