If you've ever been to NYC, I'm sure you've noticed people tearing-ass through the streets with packages en tow. These are bike messengers and while they need little introduction, representations of them are often clouded in media hype and negativity. Sure, they blow red lights, come close to pedestrians and generally ride like assholes, but it's NYC, the most chaotic city in the States. How else do you expect people to ride? That's where Boda Boda NYC comes into play. Hiromi makes these videos quite frequently and I think it's the best depiction of what it's like to be a bike messenger in NYC. Check out a few more of his videos below. What I like the most about Hiromi's work is the fact that he focuses on the new generation of messengers. These guys are our age and while many of them started in the last year or so, they're the new faces of the NYC messenger scene. Keep an eye on Boda Boda's Vimeo for more releases!
