D.R.U.G.S. was my favorite mixtape of 2012 and Indigoism is my favorite 2013 mixtape so far. Both groups deliver fast one-liners, pounds of throwbacks, and psychedelic spiritualism. While the Flatbush Zombies are a little more in your face and insane, The Underachievers seem to be more conscious, everyone tossing out bars for days. We knew they all rolled together (Beast Coast, New New York), but “No Religion” is their first track together, even receiving production from both parties. 2013 Souls of Mischief, 2013 The Pharcyde. The only unfortunate part about this track is the length, with only two rappers on the track. This song would have been awesome if it was seven minutes long with all five rappers. Maybe we can pray for a Beast Coast remix. “Stop trying to be Jesus, try to be better.” Better Off Dead coming soon. Until then, I'll continue looping “So Devilish” from Indigoism. “Ain't it ironic that the Zombies runnin' the rotten apple? Ran out of competition, so I battle my fuckin' shadow.”
