Channeling the spirit of limited-budget, DIY music video vanity projects, this brand new Cold Cave video features Wesley Eisold walking around a heavily green-screened, dystopian wasteland. Fans of seminal duo Tim & Eric will feel pretty comfortable with the art direction here, while others might not be so sure what to make of it. Serving as a blackly comedic foil to such an intentionally amateurish video, the refrain of "Black Boots" has Weisold singing "People, there's too many people". It's almost like finding an old VHS copy of some bedroom darkwave project from 1995. Cold Cave has been steadily releasing a stream of new singles and video in preparation for a new album due out sometime this year, and is embarking on an extensive world tour. Currently traveling throughout Eastern Asia, the tour will culminate in Brooklyn this June at 285 Kent.
